In June 2008, Mefoto Wedding Photography Studio formally opened its doors in Cairns. While it’s been a whirlwind 5 years we have loved every minute, from capturing the romance of the engagement shoots to the intimacy of special wedding day moments. Earlier this year we were privileged to be a part of a small committee of passionate like-minded people. We ran a charity event called “Save the Date – Wedding Expo”, an exhibition showcasing the wedding industry in Tropical North Queensland.
“Save the Date”, held at Brothers Leagues Club, proved to be a huge success, with over 1000 people walking through the door to visit FNQ’s finest wedding suppliers. 100% of the profits raised were donated to support local Autistic Children in Cairns. The funds raised went directly to the Autism Queensland Centre of Excellence, located at Edmonton. Autism Queensland is a community based, not for profit, Incorporated Association.
We were delighted to raise $12,000 from the expo, money which funded the purchase of three state-of-the-art Smart Boards for AQ Cairns. The Smart Boards will help assist children with ASD to refine and develop their skills, encouraging them to grow into the very gifted children we are blessed to have in our community. You are not only an amazing mother but also an amazing human being!
On an end note: It’s not how much we can take, but the excitement of how much we can give, that makes us love and do what we do best! Looking forward to another great year in 2013! Our 2013 price list will be effective from tomorrow. We’re offering a few more things for next year, apart from thank you & save the date cards, video e-shoots, parent albums, print enlargements and online galleries, we are also offering wedding registry gift options, hens and Spa upgrade packages, in house (or skype for interstate couples) album design sessions, and still can guarantee a 4 week turnaround. We would love to hear from you and ask what else we can do to make your experience with us more memorable and enjoyable.
